Genuine Copper Leaf supplied in booklets

Genuine Copper LEAVES 25, 100, and 500 sheets, 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" loose leaves packed in interleafing booklets. A sheet of genuine copper is placed between each page of fine lightweight paper for easy handling.

Product Information

Genuine copper leaf. The leaf is made from pure copper, approximately 1 micron thick. The leaf is beaten mechanically by machines through thousands of repetitions, mauling it to a thin layer of copper.

Uses of genuine copper leaf

A multi-purpose gilding leaf you can use for interior decorations, exterior renovation such as domes in churches, figurines, furniture restorations, signage, signboards, photo frames, scrapbooking, and other craftwork. You can put copper leaf on wood, ceramic, glass, metal, paper, fabric, plastic, polyresin, etc.

Genuine, not imitation copper leaf

NOTE!! 100% Genuine Copper leaf. However, it will oxidize when exposed to air and/or heat. After application it is necessary to coat the finished product with a coating to prevent it from oxidizing.

Larger gold leaf sheets than typical

Please also note that our leaves are industrial class copper sheets. The sizes are almost 4 times as large as other copper leaf sheets you see on the internet (usually their size is 1 3/4" x 1 3/4" but it is claimed to be approximately 2" x 2").

I loved working with this copper foil.

  2. Chelsey

So thin it’ll blow away if you’re not watching where you’re pointing your nose when you breathe. Looks amazing. Easy to work with because of how thin it is. I’ve worked with cheap leaf that ended up varying in thickness from thinner than tissue to thick as foil. I’ve found a brand that makes quality leaf and I’m going to stick to it. Thanks BB 🙂

  3. seansnow

    Very nice quality

  4. Wendy

Good for what it’s made for, but not what i expected.
Nothing like tin foil, can’t be shaped or wrapped around a door knob to kill germs.
    Very light and fragile.

  5. Dman3d

Good stuff, pure copper. Used it over a pickguard and did a forced patina with ammonia, salt and baking soda.

  6. shan

These are great. Easy to use (mostly) and they add some fun to any project

  7. porcelaingoddess

The product is very nice, very smooth and no crinkles. It arrives neatly packaged with high quality business cards informing you where you can receive instructions on use, who to contact with issues, and so forth. I’ve dealt with jewelers that didn’t take as much care as this company did with copper foil. Very professional. All this and an excellent price. I will definitely recommend.

  8. Hogbender

I spent a lot of time carving this wooden nickle. This was my first attempt at gilding. I am very happy with the results. It does require patience.

  9. V. Mora

Much easier to use than leaf I’ve used in the past. Like that I am able to apply it using the tissue sheet rather than having to lift the leaf.

  10. Elise C.

Beginner metal leaf crafter here, and I think this gold leaf is great! I don’t have much to compare this to, however. I covered a paper mache pumpkin with this and it turned out a beautiful rich orange/red copper color- like a true copper color.

This isn’t related to the product, but I recommend using either a foam brush or very very nice craft brush for this. I used a cheap brush and the bristles came off and effected the finished look of the copper leaf.
